In this project, I continued experimenting with digital and handmade collage techniques to explore the environmental challenges facing Hong Kong, particularly the impact of pollution on its architecture. Building on previous work that blended the past and future, I envisioned how pollution could shape the city’s built environment in the coming years. The collage contrasts current architectural forms with elements distorted by pollution, illustrating a future where environmental degradation reshapes urban spaces. Digital layers depict the encroachment of smog and industrial waste on familiar structures, while hand-drawn details emphasize the fragile relationship between nature and the city. Through this project, I aimed to provoke thoughts on how pollution might influence our city and its architectural evolution, highlighting the urgent need for a sustainable approach to urban development.
