Project 3-4  People, Space, Interaction
People, Space, Interaction: Adaptable Architectural Playground
Exploratory Design – Paper Modeling

Size: 25cm x 25cm

Medium: Paper and white Card

Date: 2024

In this project, I explored adaptable architecture by creating a grid-based paper model that could be manipulated into various spatial configurations. The goal was to design an interactive “playground” where people could engage with the space through dialogue and movement, reshaping it to meet their needs. Inspired by my experiences in Hong Kong, Bali, and Los Angeles, the project demonstrated how architecture can be flexible and responsive to user interactions.

The paper model allowed me to experiment with form, scale, and movement, revealing how architecture can evolve based on human activity. This project highlighted the importance of designing spaces that adapt to changing needs and contexts. The idea of an architectural playground emphasized social interaction and collaboration, deepening my understanding of how architecture can foster human connection and create engaging, dynamic environments.
